The purpose of the Indian NAREDCO delegation in this visit is to seek opportunities for cooperation and sharing of experience in urban development between Vietnam and India. In particular, it focuses on the development model of smart urban, housing for low-income people, land management, solutions on public hygiene, waste treatment, etc.
On 24/02/2017, the delegations met and worked with Mr. Nguyen Tran Nam - President of VNREA and Mr. Tran Ngoc Quang - General Secretary of VNREA in Hanoi and also visited Dang Xa Urban Area (Gia Lam) in order to visit and learn experience for works construction.
After the business trip in Hanoi, the delegation continued to visit Ho Chi Minh City and work with Hoang Quan Group - the pioneer in investment and development of social housing in the southern region of Vietnam.

Mr. Parveen Jain - President of NAREDCO - Leader of delegations shared “The overall objective of the Vietnam and India Real Estate Market is to focus on the housing construction for the people's residence. In India, the Prime Minister also held a housing program for people, development of social housing for low and medium income earners”.
He also said that: the urbanization of India is very fast and the price of real estate products in big cities is very expensive. Until 2022, India needs to build about 10 million apartments in order to meet housing demand.
During the welcoming of Indian Delegation, Dr. Truong Anh Tuan - Deputy President of the Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA) - Chairman of BOD of the Hoang Quan Group presented information about the real estate market in Ho Chi Minh City, and he also enthusiastically shared the experience of the Hoang Quan Group in the process of developing social housing chain, housing for workers, cheap commercial houses in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.
Currently, with the pioneer orientation of social housing and the co-operation with the government in the national housing policy, social security, Hoang Quan Group has been investing 22 projects of social housing and houses for workers with a total investment of more than VND20,000 billion, providing more than 34,000 apartments to the market in the South of Vietnam. In Ho Chi Minh City, the HQC Plaza (1,735 apartments) which are invested by Hoang Quan Group, has been put into operation, forming a civilized and knowledgeable community with full of living facilities.

At the end of the working session, the NAREDCO delegation highly appreciated the achievements and contributions of Hoang Quan Group in national housing strategy in Vietnam. The delegation said that the practical experience in housing development in Vietnam in general and Hoang Quan in particular would be useful information in order that India refers and applies to the housing construction for people, contribute to solve the problem of accommodation, meet the urbanization speed in India.
